Freezing rain, freezing rain, go away!
Toronto and parts of southern Ontario should brace for a mixed bag of unusual April weather as an icy weather system makes its way into the region. The freezing rain is expected to last until Sunday morning before changing to more heavy rainfall.
Winter isn't over yet according to the National Weather Service as meteorologists at the Buffalo weather station have issued a Winter Weather Advisory calling for freezing rain Saturday into Sunday. Thus an accumulation of ice is possible later on Saturday into Saturday night which will cause for some risky travel conditions. Initially, we will see some plain rain Saturday morning, but as the air grows colder, the rain will mix with and change over to sleet and freezing rain. "Closer to the shores of lake Ontario is expected only rain". Areas closer to Lake Ontario and near the Highway 401 corridor may remain just above the freezing mark much of the time limiting the amount of icing somewhat.
Reliance Jio to launch 4G laptops powered by Snapdragon 835
If reports are to be believed, one can say that there's a huge possibility of Jio entering the laptop market in India. The Mukesh Ambani-led Jio has reportedly held talks with Qualcomm to launch always connected 4G laptops in India.
"There is a potential for this to be a high impact storm, particularly Sunday night into Monday", weather watchers warned.
"This has the potential to be a major ice storm for some regions with ice accumulations in excess of 20 millimetres possible". Accumulations of ice could be larger in the higher elevations, which would be crippling, and lead to many tree limbs and power lines coming down, especially into Wyoming County and the Bristol.
The national weather agency added that driving conditions could also be "hazardous" in some areas.
