"Samsung Galaxy S9 series helped increase the company's share in the ultra-premium segment". While Galaxy A-series smartphones with Infinity Displays are already on sale, the Galaxy J6 will be Samsung's first budget smartphone to feature a "bezel-less" display. The Infinity Display on the Galaxy J6 also seems to have a 2.5D curved glass atop, which shouldn't be surprising to you. The Galaxy J line-up is Samsung's most potent line-up in India, with the company going on to claim that there are as many as 60 million active Galaxy J phone users here.
If rumours are anything to be believed, the Galaxy J6 will feature a 5.6-inch HD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 720x1480 pixels, which is surprising since even budget devices at this age offer a better display.

The "Notify Me" registration page has also gone live on Samsung India's website, and, it shows the bottom portion of the Galaxy J6 that has a micro USB port (meh), primary microphone, and, a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
As for expected prices go, Galaxy A-series smartphones is expected to fall in the price bracket of Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 25,000, while Galaxy J-series smartphone could see a starting price of Rs. 15,000.
Under-the-hood, it will come with Samsung's proprietary Exynos 7870 octa-core processor, which can clock CPU speed up to 1.6GHz. Talking about the cameras, the Galaxy A6 sports a 16MP autofocus rear camera with f/1.7 aperture and a 16MP fixed focus front camera with f/1.9 aperture. It comes in two memory configurations - 3GB RAM + 32GB storage, and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. Both the devices run on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box with Samsung Experience UI laid on top.
