The White House announced an early exit from the summit Thursday night after French President Emmanuel Macron and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau signalled they would use the G7 event to take a stance against new US tariffs on steel and aluminum imports.
Then President Trump tweeted: "Based on Justin's false statements at his news conference, and the fact that Canada is charging massive Tariffs to our U.S. farmers, workers and companies, I have instructed our U.S. Reps not to endorse the Communique as we look at Tariffs on automobiles flooding the U.S. Market!"

"We have a world to run", Trump said. In a series of tweets from Singapore, Trump kept up the tirade while contending that "Fair Trade is now to be called Fool Trade if it is not Reciprocal". That moved him squarely offside with most of his fellow G7 leaders, including Trudeau, on one of their most serious, shared worldwide security concerns.

"I've been firm, I've been clear, but I don't think descending into insults is right for the way Canada engages with the world", the prime minister said. "We'll see how it all works out, but we've made a lot of progress".
Earlier Saturday, the German government posted on Twitter a photo that shows the leaders and aides.
Trump answered for Trudeau with a joke: "He's happy".
