The area under a warning now extends from north of Lake Okeechobee to northern Miami-Dade County. Steadier showers will move in late with some thunderstorms and pockets of moderate to heavy rain that could bring flash flooding.
For Sunday, it will be mostly cloudy and humid with a some passing showers and rough conditions at sea.
The warning lasts until 7 a.m. Tuesday. It is still too early to pinpoint exact timing and locations to be impacted, the National Weather Service said. Scattered showers will be possible mainly east. "There could be ponding on roads during the evening commute". We are still not expecting any severe weather for today.
The big weather story is the gradual cooling trend the next couple days in fact we may be in the 80s (low 90s warmest) all of next week.
Look for highs well into the 90s with heat indices between 100-115.
