Saudi Arabia's public prosecutor on Thursday said the killing of Khashoggi was premeditated, contradicting a previous official statement that it happened accidentally during a tussle in the consulate.
According to Turkish officials, the audio allegedly reveals Khashoggi was interrogated, tortured, killed and dismembered after he entered the consulate on October 2.
Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan urged Saudi Arabia on Friday to disclose who ordered Khashoggi's murder, as well as the location of his body, heightening global pressure on the kingdom to come clean on the case.
