Both Brooks and Selden were meant to be included in a three-team trade with the Phoenix Suns and Washington Wizards, which would've brought the Grizzlies back young forward Kelly Oubre. He's shooting 40.4 percent overall and 31.7 percent on 3-pointers.
NASA declares New Horizons flyby of Ultima Thule a huge success
He said the spacecraft "is like a time machine , taking us back to the birth of the solar system". It consists of two nearly spherical lobes, one with about three times the volume of the other.
This season, Selden made 32 appearances with the Grizzlies. The rookie has played well as of late, but he is less proven at the offensive end than Holiday is. This season, Brooks is averaging 6.6 points and 1.6 rebounds in limited playing time. The Bulls will hold two second-round picks in 2020. I'd have felt better about dealing those picks for someone like Oubre with the potential to help the Grizzlies long term, but as Marks noted on Twitter, Holiday's early Bird rights could help Memphis re-sign him as an unrestricted free agent this summer. A first-round pick would've been more ideal.
Holiday is a solid 3-and-D wing player, but the 29-year-old is not as useful to the Bulls as future assets are.
Grizzlies are known to make moves like this that barely if anything move the needle let alone serving as a long-term solution and we won't hear from them again sink or swim.
