As a result of the tweet, the company demoted the two employees responsible for the error by one rank and reduced their monthly salaries by 5,000 yuan (approximately $728.87 USD).
Elizabeth Warren's whirlwind week ends with a new test in Iowa

China blocks access to many foreign websites, including Twitter, although many people circumvent the firewall by using virtual private networks. Meng is accused of fraud for allegedly lying to US banks about Huawei's relationship with Skycom, a Hong Kong-based company reportedly doing business with Iran. That was likely not the first time that Huawei's social media team has used an iPhone to send Tweets on its official account, but it is likely going to be the last time. Huawei said in its memo that "the incident exposed flaws in our processes and management", and that it will be looking to address that soon.
When outsourced social media handler Sapient experienced "VPN problems" with a desktop computer it used an iPhone with a roaming SIM card in order to send the message on time at midnight, Huawei said in the memo. The Chinese company, which competes with other smartphone giants such as Samsung and Apple, posted a tweet on one of its accounts. Huawei only sent out a memo which attributed the issue to "procedural incompliance and management oversight". Screenshots of the tweet went viral, prompting all sorts of reactions from users worldwide. The content itself was trivial, significantly spicy, the four words that were displayed directly in the message were: "Via Twitter for iPhone". It looks especially bad for a brand ambassador, as they are hired only to promote the device for the company, and being seen using another phone, makes their promotion a bit useless.
