Before her body was found on Monday night, a Facebook Group called "Help find Preethi Reddy" had been set up by the family to assist the investigation.
Concerned family and friends contacted police when she didn't return home on Sunday after a dentist convention in the city. Officers believe that she left the fast-food chain alone.

The semi-trailer veered across the road and through a railing. While he succumbed to his injuries in the accident, the truck driver managed to escape. He was taken to hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.
He said investigators were unsure where and when Reddy was slain, but were working on the probability that she was fatally stabbed at the hotel.
They say that the head-on collision, which occurred around 340 km from where Reddy's body was found, was a "deliberate act".
After her family filed a missing person case at the police station, investigators launched a search for her vehicle which they found parked near Strachan Street, Kingsford, about 9.30 pm on Tuesday.
According to the police, Reddy was murdered as her body bore several stab wounds.
The appeal comes after another Western Sydney woman disappeared in Parramatta two months earlier. She can be seen wearing a long-sleeve black shirt, black trousers and black ballet flats.

Preethi was reported missing under mysterious circumstances on March 3.
On Wednesday night, Reddy's sister, Nithya, released a short statement saying the dentist was "living her best life" before "this unthinkable event".
"The last time I saw her was at a conference in Sydney in March a year ago and she was there with (Narde)", Mr Vagadia said.
Baker is described as being of a Mediterranean or Middle Eastern appearance, 155 to 165 centimetres (5.08 to 5.41 feet) tall, with a medium build and long dark hair.

"I saw that she was missing from her sister's post on Facebook and was in pure shock when I later saw on the news about what had happened", he said.
Anyone who may have seen or spoken with Dr Reddy over the weekend is being urged to come forward.
Anyone with dashcam footage during that time, particularly between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m., are also encouraged to provide their footage.
