Beijing has been urging restraint by New Delhi and Islamabad in response to reciprocal air operations carried by both countries in Kashmir last week after the Pakistan-based terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) claimed responsibility for the February 14 suicide bombing that killed more than 40 Indian security forces in the India-administered Kashmir.
The Indian High Commissioner will also engage on urgent issues not only with Pakistan but with diplomats of other countries in Islamabad.
Pakistan has chose to "upgrade" a group of banned outfits, including the Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), to a "high" risk category and start monitoring and re-examining their activities to comply with obligations of global watchdog Financial Action Task Force or FATF, according to a media report today.
India blamed that attack on a Pakistan-based militant group, Jaish-e-Mohammed, and launched a retaliatory airstrike inside Pakistan.
Pakistan is a "global epicentre of terrorism and it needs to take verifiable and credible steps against terrorist organisations and terrorists", said the official on condition of anonymity.
"Tensions between India and Pakistan appear to be de-escalating and this is a positive development", Qureshi said.

In reality, they said, he was under Justice Department investigation before Mueller was appointed special counsel in May 2017. Manafort , who has been dealing with health issues, looked unwell as he entered the courtroom in a wheelchair.
"The widespread presence of terrorist camps in Pakistan is a public knowledge within and outside Pakistan", he said. It also says it shut a number of facilities and froze assets of several outlawed organizations.
Pakistan's Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said Saturday that his country was acting against the banned militant outfits and it would not allow anyone to "use the Pakistani land for terrorism against any country".
He also said Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan had asked India to send evidence it has against any individuals. "As many as 22 terrorist training camps, including nine of JeM are still being run in Pakistan and there has been no action against them", the official said. Pakistan said the strike only damaged three trees in a forest.
Since then, the two sides have exercised restraint amid calls from the worldwide community to avoid war.
